There are several Pudelpointer breed clubs around the world. All have set breed standards which must be meet by any Pudelpointer before it can be used for breeding. I applaud those breeders adhering to these strict breeding regulations. Only through honesty, dedication and hard work can the pudelpointer remain a breed of such high standards.

All Dreamwork Gun Dogs used for breeding, at a minimum, have prized in a NAVHDA Natural Ability test and/or a Utility test, are OFA or Penn Hip certified free of hip dysphasia, must have a coat of wire/wire, rough/wire, or wire/smooth with a rating of at least medium dense/ medium harsh. Must be free of the following genetic defects: entropic or ectropion eyelids, undecended testicles, excessive cowhock, undershot or overshot bite, gun shyness, people shyness.

Once they have met the requirements above they must prove themselves on a variety of WILD game, which includes, but is not limited to the following: Dove, Quail, Chukar, Huns, Pheasant, Blue, Ruff, Sage and Sharp-tailed Grouse, Ducks, Geese and Rabbits.

With these strict, self- imposed breeding requirements in place,

Dreamwork Pudelpointers will always be among the best of the best.
